The 8 Best Pool Parties & Beach Clubs in Ibiza

A pool party in Ibiza is not to be missed!

"What are holidays for, but forgetting your worries at home and living life as a baller?"

1. Ushuaïa

Directly under the flight path, is beach club paradise Ushuaïa. The gleaming white party hotel hosts daytime parties seven days a week during summer. You can catch the biggest names in the industry here, including David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia and Daddy Yankee. What could be better than dancing in the sun with a drink in hand? Check out their cool walk of fame at the front of the hotel. The late Avicii is amongst those who has his own star plaque.

2. Ibiza Rocks

Ibiza Rocks goes against the grain and has introduced some much-needed variety to Ibiza’s music scene. The party hotel throws poolside sessions five days a week (you can even get wet n’ wild mid-party!) Featuring anything from live rock bands such as Arctic Monkeys and The Kaiser Chiefs, to garage MC and American rappers, this daytime venue is a destination where you can unleash your inner rock star. Ibiza Rocks’ biggest residency is Craig David, but we also love the fun and chaos of Bongo’s Bingo. If you’re hungry whilst visiting, our top tip is their legendary chicken pitta. And if you never want to party to stop, you might as well check-in for an overnight stay.

3. O Beach Club

What are holidays for, but forgetting your worries at home and living life as a baller? O Beach (formerly Ocean Beach) helps facilitate your desires. Making VIP clubbing affordable, now you can reserve that roped area, pop that magnum bottle of champagne and basically live it up in the company of friends. Soundtracked by a slick house and R&B vibe, now you can frolic in the pool or lap up the sun in the company of other bronzed bodies. Towels and swimwear essential. Household names such as Kisstory, Kinky Malinki and Hed Kandi can all be found here.

4. Bora Bora

The original beach partying destination, Bora Bora has been hosting sun-drenched events since 1986. Located on Playa D’en Bossa beach, you will find parties every day of the week here in the summer which are amongst some of the most popular on the island.  Bora Bora is a great place to chill out during the day on the beach with a cocktail on hand, and at around 18:00 the vibes really kick in for a full-blown beach party.

5. Destino

Set in the hills above Ibiza Town, Destino is a luxury hotel and resort that occasionally doubles-up as a daytime party venue. Owned by Pacha, you know the level of service to expect. You’ll have to plan your visit carefully, Destino typically throws parties just once a week, but we really recommend you go to check it out. Otherwise, non-hotel guests are able to dine or use the pool facilities the other 6 days of the week. Although it is walkable from Ibiza Town, we recommend you take a taxi.

6. Cova Santa

Cova Santa oozes Balearic charm. Actually set within the hills of San Jose, this charming venue has its own network of caves. For the most part, the parties take place outside on the sloping concourse. Famous for hosting the spiritual WooMooN events, make sure to arrive in daylight but leave after you’ve seen the space all lit up at night. One of the few venues that allows children when accompanied by adults.

7. Benimussa Park

Once upon a time, Benimussa Park was a zoo – and it has found it hard to shrug off that title, which many still refer to it to. The venue embraces this nickname, however. Fittingly, its most popular party is Zoo Project. Animal fancy dress is highly encouraged and you can even dance in the abandoned seal pit. Although this starts out as a daytime affair, after dark make sure you stick around before cramming into the intimate rabbit hole. The music continues inside all night long.

8. Blue Marlin

Set on the south tip of the island on a pebbled beach called Cala Jondal, Blue Marlin is a beach bar that attracts the beautiful and the wealthy. It also books some of the world’s best DJs to spin. Pete Tong, Erick Morillo and Fatboy Slim are a few names that spring to mind, with the former holding a weekly residency. Visiting Blue Marlin doesn’t come cheap. Although admission is free, the venue has positioned itself in the deluxe category. Furthermore, the dancefloor is tiny with most space reserved for tables. Our top tip is to lounge on the beach, where you can still hear the music.
