8 Top Underrated London Clubs & Marlon Hoffstadt B2B Malugi

The power duo dominated Boiler Rooms through 2024 and they are back in London in June...

Club Heart Broken

If you weren’t at Club Heart Broken for Marlon Hoffstadt B2B Malugi, you missed a landmark moment in London’s high-BPM revival.

The Berlin-based powerhouses brought their signature blend of Eurodance, trance, and turbo-charged house to a sold-out crowd — an unapologetically euphoric set that had zero chill and maximum serotonin.

Whether it’s Hoffstadt’s relentless groove control or Malugi’s playful, genre-blurring selections, this back-to-back was a true party. The duo are at the forefront of a scene that’s swapping moody minimalism for full-blown fun.

They are also back next month at The Cause, details here.

Top Underrated London Clubs

Phonox, Brixton

  • Phonox - Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, Phonox has become a staple of Brixton. With its ample space, sleek lighting, and tricked out sound system, every gig here is one for the books.

  • Corsica Studios - When the rest of Elephant & Castle is already in bed, the party continues under the rail arches. Corsica is where you will find the edgy, the quirky, the raver’s raves.

  • MOT - This is the sort of a club that has sadly become a dying breed. Thankfully, MOT is alive and well. Located in an industrial estate next to Millwall stadium in Bermondsey, MOT is a minimally decorated space that draws its energy from a crowd that deeply knows and loves electronic music.

  • ORMSIDE Projects - Another club celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2025, this is a small industrial space with an unforgettable atmosphere and sleek sound system, located just down the road from MOT. ORMSIDE consistently punches above its weight, hosting some of the foremost artists of the electronic avant-garde.

  • Bermondsey Social Club - It’s not just the energy of the small space, the solid sound system, or the cheap drinks. It’s also the garden area, made comfortable in the winter with outdoor heat, that makes this small club near Surrey Quays one of the most welcoming in all of London.

  • Tunnel Vision - Off the beaten path for electronic music fans, this intimate space in a railway arch near Fenchurch Street specialises in Afrobeats and Hip Hop forward artists, usually attracting a dedicated crowd of regulars. One of London’s best kept secrets!

  • Elektrowerkz - This club bills itself as ‘The Big. The Bold. The Outrageous.’ And that’s not overselling it. Located just steps away from Angel tube station, Elektrowerkz specialises in house and disco as well as fetish centric events.

  • Village Underground - Located in the heart of Shoreditch, Village Underground has been a staple of the electronic music scene for years. The tall ceiling of this historical industrial space make for one of the city’s vibiest, most intriguing spaces, and the lineup regularly includes some of the hottest names on the house and techno scene, as well as artists from various other genres.
