Hello London,

This week, we’ve got not one but two articles live on the site. First up is Ben’s breakdown of one of the spiciest panels we caught at IMS, Culture vs. Capital. It is well worth a read. Secondly, I’ve pulled together a list of the London summer festivals you need on your hit list, before the prices go up. Now, to the raves.

If your taste leans more heads-down than hands-up, Ben Sims lands at Palais on Friday for a night of hypnotic techno. If bass is what you seek then Zenker Brothers at FOLD should sort you out, while Moving Parts bring Bok Bok and Nora (UK) to Last Arch for something more rooted in garage and club sounds.

Saturday is where things properly sprawl. Queen’s Yard Summer Party takes over Hackney Wick for one of the best day-to-night crawls of the year, while Brixton Disco Festival does exactly what it says on the tin in South London. Batu, Mad Professor and Simo Cell at MOT is probably one of the strongest lineups, This is MOT’s first ever open-air party. John Talabot at Gaffe is the smarter leftfield pick, and Etienne de Crécy at Onyx should sort anyone craving French house and sleek electronics.

By Sunday, it is really about whether you still have anything left in the tank. Maya Jane Coles & Friends at Palais is probably the biggest name on the list, while Craig Richards and Vera at Gaffe is the more headsy option. Nkisi at Ormside Projects is for those who want something stranger and otherworldly, and Channel One Sound System at Village Underground is there if you’re craving dub .
