Summer is basically over. I know this because the forest rave chat has gone quiet and the warehouse rave chat is back. The good news? Clubs are about to get busier, sweatier, and cosier again. On Thursday, Sherelle hosts her R&R night at The Carpet Shop. It’s a little steep for a weeknight, but the sound in there should blow your head off. On the other side of town, Tones & Drones brings live audiovisuals, woodwinds, drones, and birdsongs to Walthamstow Trades Hall.

On Saturday, Waterworks Extended takes over The Cause for 36 hours of music, moving from house and techno on Saturday into sound system culture on Sunday. Elsewhere, you have a bouquet of techno events to choose from, between the queer HOWL Rave, JakoJako at Palais for hypnotic fans, Mark Broom at The Old Blue Last for acid-laced techno, or Exquisite Corpse for something more gritty and industrial.

Sunday is UNFOLD, duh! But if Canning Town feels too far, Onur Özer is playing at the mysterious Cellar in Dalston alongside a fantastic line-up.
