Phew. The long weekend was long. With the weather boiling, I’m ready to step out of my furnace of a house and find an air-conditioned basement to dance in ASAP. But before we get to the raves, we’ve published an interview with Rebekah Abdeen on sexism and misogyny in the industry that is definitely worth your time, plus another piece on John Summit and the rise of performative DJs.

This Thursday, UK electronic pioneers Lil Silva and George FitzGerald return with the second edition of Nowhere, bringing an unannounced lineup to The Dark Horse in Camden. On Friday, head to Hoxton Cabin for Friends With Benefits, a Free Gaza fundraiser where it is rumoured that the founder of Lab.Club might be dropping some bangers. It is a free event, with the option to donate. Another strong free pick is Lunaparti, where ulnaparti, Half East Records and Liminal Lounge take over Aaja Basement with tunes that promise to be dark and silly. If you want something heavier, choose between Riposte at The Cause and Teletech at E1.

On Saturday, Dialled In, the artist-led initiative showcasing South Asian talent, celebrates its fifth anniversary with Ahadadream and plenty more. Beyond that, you have the impossible choice between Om Unit at MOT for bass, Recondite (live) at E1 for minimal techno, or a day-to-night party at Gaffe with a secret venue afterparty that we think might be on the boat at The Goose.

Sunday, you cannot miss the Green Party PARTY, in collaboration with HE.SHE.THEY, with a solid lineup of jungle, drum & bass and UKG at The Cause. If you want something more chill, head to The Timber Loft for Giles Smith & Friends or the Burnin Music Record Fair at Two Tribes.
