Why DJs Are Boycotting Boiler Room 🎧 + Weekly Raves

Your usual curated selection of the best raves and festivals in London...

The Big Boiler Room Boycott

DJs around the world are boycotting Boiler Room after DICE sold the electronic media brand to Superstruct Entertainment in a deal worth €1.3 billion. Superstruct is owned by KKR, a private equity company that also owns military defence companies, some of which supply equipment used in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Although Boiler Room has stated they are pro-Palestine and do not hold the same values as their parent company, it’s hard to ignore the glaring disconnect between their stated ethics and the financial interests driving their ownership.

DJs from Detroit, San Francisco, and London have now pulled out of Boiler Room events, with over 700 artists signing a petition in Australia, and many DJs cancelling at the upcoming Field Day in Victoria Park.

A recent event in São Paulo, Brazil, has also been cancelled due to a number of DJs pulling out last minute.
